Tess's Bio & Tutoring Experience
As a third grade teacher with a class of 25, it has never been more clear that every child learns differently. Each child understands things differently, processes things differently and expresses things differently. In my classroom I use centers where students can get small-group instruction. Each week I create intervention plans designed to give students extra help in the areas they struggle with and I hold after school tutoring as an opportunity for more one-on-one instruction with my students.
I have taught classes, written lesson plans, created worksheets, activities and study guides for ages k-12 and worked as a hired tutor for elementary and high school reading, writing, math and Spanish. I am excellent at engaging students and making the material accessible.
