LogonTutor, LLC (“LogonTutor”) has created this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to describe the types of information LogonTutor may obtain through our website, LogonTutor.com (the “Site”) and in any other way LogonTutor may interact with users. The terms "you" and “User,” or “Users” refer to all visitors of LogonTutor.com (the “Site”). By accessing the Site and the content, information and services available on the Site, you consent to the Terms of Use posted on the Site and to the information, collection, use and disclosure practices described in this Privacy Policy.

BY USING OR CONTINUING TO USE THE SITE, YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU UNDERSTAND, AGREE TO, AND ACCEPT ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY.

LogonTutor encourages you to view this Privacy Policy often as it may periodically change without notice. Your continued use of this Site after LogonTutor makes changes is deemed to be an acceptance of those changes.

  1. Scope of Privacy Policy — In the course of managing the Site, LogonTutor collects or receives the following types of information, which may include personal information:

    1. Contact Information — LogonTutor may request at times that you voluntarily supply us with personal information, so that LogonTutor can match you with a tutor or student. Such personal information includes any information that may be used to identify you, including, but not limited to, your first and last name, home or other physical address, email address, phone number(s) and other contact information, as well as gender information and information about other physical traits. (collectively, the “Contact Information”). LogonTutor may request Contact Information when you register on the Site, when you post on the Site, or when you provide information in connection with one of LogonTutor’s services, promotional campaigns or other programs. LogonTutor does not collect any Contact Information from you when you use the Site unless you provide us with the Contact Information voluntarily.

    2. Third-Party Information — LogonTutor may receive personal information and other information about you from third party companies that provide background checks for LogonTutor (“Third Party Information”).

    3. Geological Information — To provide access to the Site while you are using an electronic device, LogonTutor may automatically collect geolocational information from your mobile device, your wireless carrier, or certain third-party service providers (“Geolocational Information”). Collection of such Geolocational Information occurs only when the Site are running on your mobile device. You may control the collection of Geolocational Information through the user settings on your device. You may decline to allow us to collect such Geolocational Information. Please be sure to manage your mobile device and privacy preferences on an ongoing basis.

    4. Other Information — In addition to the above information, LogonTutor may collect additional information regarding you and your use of the Site, your interactions with the Site, as well as information regarding your computer or other devices used to access the Site collectively, “Other Information”). Such other information may include:

      1. Information obtained from you. Additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide to us, such as your comments and feedback.

      2. Information obtained from your online activity. Information that LogonTutor automatically collects when you use the Services, such as (a) information about the device from which you access the Services (i.e., the type of device, the advertising identifier (“IDFA” or “AdID”), the operating system and version (for example iOS, Android or Windows), your carrier and network type (WiFi, 3G, 4G, LTE); (b) your IP addresses (which may consist of a static or dynamic IP address and will sometimes point to a specific identifiable computer or device); (c) browser type and language; (d) referring and exit pages and URLs; (e) date and time; (f) amount of time spent on particular pages; (g) what features of the Site you use or visit; and (h) similar information concerning your use of the Site.

      3. Information LogonTutor collects automatically through cookies, and similar technology. Like most online services, LogonTutor automatically receives standard technical information when you connect with the Services. LogonTutor collects this information through browser cookies, pixels, web server logs, web beacons, and similar technologies. These features enable us to personalize your experience with the Site, understand how you use them, maintain a persistent session, and improve and further develop the Site. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit. LogonTutor uses cookies to help collect Other Information and to enhance your experience using the Site. Specifically, LogonTutor may use cookies to authenticate users, personalize your experience when using the Site, analyze which features of the Services you use most frequently, and measure and optimize advertising and promotional effectiveness. To do this, LogonTutor may use both session cookies, which expire once you close your web browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on your computer until you delete them.   2. Use of Information — LogonTutor may use your personal information to the extent permitted by applicable law including:

    1. Service-Related Use. LogonTutor uses the Contact Information and Other Information to provide and support the Site, such as communicating with you, managing your account, providing information about the Site, maintaining the Site, and fulfilling your requests for services.

    2. Analyzing and Improving the Site. LogonTutor may run calculations or aggregate information obtained from you to conduct research, improve the Site, monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the Site, and understand usage trends and preferences.

  3. Disclosure of Information — LogonTutor may share, transfer or disclose your information if you consent to us doing so, as well in the following circumstances:

    1. To provide you with tutoring opportunities. To provide you with tutoring opportunities, LogonTutor needs to share your basic personal information with tutors or students.

    2. To better understand and serve you. In an ongoing effort to better understand users of the Site, LogonTutor may analyze your information in order to maintain, operate, manage and improve the Site. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. LogonTutor may share this aggregate data with our affiliates, agents, and business partners. LogonTutor may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our products and services to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

    3. To assist LogonTutor in providing tutoring opportunities. LogonTutor may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on LogonTutor’s behalf. Examples may include marketing assistance or customer service. These other companies will have access to your information only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law.

    4. As part of the sale or other transfer of LogonTutor’s business. As LogonTutor develops, LogonTutor may sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, sale of assets, dissolution, investment, or similar corporate event, your information may be part of the transferred assets.

    5. For legal purposes. To the extent permitted by law, LogonTutor may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or other

  1. Information Protection — LogonTutor takes commercially reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. LogonTutor cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can LogonTutor guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. In particular, e-mail or messages sent to or from the Site, tutors, students, or other LogonTutor affiliates may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send via e-mail and messaging.

  2. Children’s Information — LogonTutor does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Site. If you are under 13, please do not give LogonTutor any personal information. LogonTutor encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide LogonTutor personal information without its permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to LogonTutor, please contact LogonTutor, and LogonTutor will endeavor to delete that information from its databases.

  3. External Websites and Payment Service Providers — The Site may contain links to third-party websites. LogonTutor has no control over the privacy practices or the content of any of our business partners or other websites to which LogonTutor provides links. As such, LogonTutor is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those third-party websites. You should check the applicable third-party privacy policy and terms of use when visiting any other websites.

  4. Accessing and Modifying Information and Communication Preferences — You have the ability to update any personal information that you shared with LogonTutor or to delete your account by utilizing the “My Account” section of our Site. LogonTutor may retain some of your information to comply with our legal and security obligations.

  5. Notice to Nevada Residents — If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information to third parties. You can exercise this right by contacting us at chris@logontutor.com with the subject line “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account.

  6. Notice to California Residents — Pursuant to California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83), residents of California have the right to obtain certain information about the types of personal information that companies with whom they have an established business relationship (and that are not otherwise exempt) have shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year, including the names and addresses of those third parties, and examples of the types of services or products marketed by those third parties.   7. Notice to Non-US Residents — The Site is operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your country of origin.
