Terrance's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I worked my way through community college as a Tutor. I am very patient and willing to explain the same subject as many times and in as many ways as needed for my students to understand. I also try to keep tutoring sessions fun and lively, especially when working with subject matter that tends to be on the dry and boring side. I have been tutoring off and on since 1982 and my trademark is using educational parables. I discovered long ago I can teach almost anyone almost anything if I can relate it to something they are already familiar with and already understand. I once got a technophobic grandmother to memorize and understand the parts of a relational database management system by comparing it to the recipe box she kept in her kitchen.

I have a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. I have worked in and around the IT and Education industries for over 30+ years and counting. I am always staying current in the latest trends that impact the subjects I tutor. I currently work as a full-time substitute teacher in my city's school district. I teach all subjects, all grades, with a special focus on students with Austism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
