Probably the most striking difference between myself and the average tutor is the fact that I am not a 'professional educator' and my sessions are not an extension of the classroom experience.

I have traveled the world and can give real-life reasons why some of the stuff we have to learn is important. Having lived in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America has taught me patience and tolerance, as well as some humility. On the other hand, I know what works from firsthand experience, not blind faith in what a professor has taught me, based on some theory or preliminary study.
