Phil's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have the experience, personality, and creativity needed to effectively tutor any student who struggles with math. I know how to effectively establish a rapport with students and invest them in their own success.

I served as a Teach for America middle school teacher for 3 years, focusing on remedial math. Although all of my students were behind in math, 89% of my students made significant gains in mathematics on the state test after taking my class (the school average was 61%). Furthermore, I personally created most of the materials, word problems, and activities I used in class.

Additional to my classroom experience, I also have experience in individual tutoring for middle school math, and high school math for ACT prep.
