Lindsey's Bio & Tutoring Experience

My first experience tutoring was working as an Arabic tutor for 3 semesters in my college's work-study program where I shared my passion for the Arabic language and the Arab world with other students. I also volunteered teaching English as a Second language to local immigrants and refugees for 2 years. That work is special to me as I was able to assist my students in adapting culturally as well as learning the language. Currently, I am also teaching English as a Second language with LTC Language Solutions. Based on my own language-learning experiences, my approach is very context- and culture-oriented, focused more on your needs and desires for the language than on rote exercises and memorization. I want to get you functioning, guessing, inferring, laughing, and continually learning in the target language!

In May 2015 I graduated with a B.A. in International Studies (political science, economics, research methods, foreign language) and a minor in French. I have also studied modern standard Arabic at the advanced level and am conversational in Levantine Arabic.
