Kelsey's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I am a sophomore currently taking classes at Northwest Arkansas Community College. My degree is in Kinesiology so science is my strongest subject, but also I am very good with math. I have two younger brothers (one 13 and one 18) that I have helped for years in their schooling so I am used to working with kids of that age. Also, I worked at a summer camp this past summer with girls and boys ages 6-15 and had to help tutor them, with that being said I am very comfortable with all ages of children. One of my campers who was in my bunk for seven weeks was really struggling with middle school level math and I was able to help her through that easily.
My 13 year old brother has dyslexia so I know how to work with kids who get frustrated easily when they cannot comprehend a subject. I used to help him every day after school and he struggled very hard with math. It took some time and patience but now he is understanding it a lot better.
I look forward to meeting and working with anyone who has interest in me. Also I can be pretty flexible with schedules if that is a concern for some people.

I graduated from one of the biggest high schools in Texas (Allen High School) with a GPA of 3.85. Also I currently have a 3.7 GPA at the University of Arkansas but had to take a semester off due to money. I am half way through my degree in Kinesiology so I have taken the majority of basic science classes (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Anatomy and Physiology). In high school I took math all the way up to calculus so I have a pretty good range in math subjects as well. I'm not very strong in English subjects but I'm not horrible with history. I would just say it isn't my strongest subject.
