Almost all of my work experience is in education. I was a basic math tutor for Disabled Student Services at Shasta College. While working for the Glenn County Office of Education's SPARK after school program, I worked with K through 8th grade. This included homework help, developing curriculum and teaching it. I was also an intern for the GCOE Friday Night Live Mentoring program. This involved working with 7th grade through high school, developing lesson plans for the set curriculum and presenting it to the participants in a fun and engaging way, among other duties. I love helping others achieve their goals, both inside and out of the classroom. In an unofficial capacity, I have served as a tutor for many friends and classmates in college in English and American Sign Language.

I graduated from Christian Encounter High School in 2005. After graduation, I began my college career at Shasta College as an English major. I spent a short time as a Liberal Arts major with intentions of becoming a deaf education instructor, before switching to a Psychology major. I transferred to CSU Chico in 2008. I later had to take a leave of absence due to health issues. In 2012, I returned to CSU Chico as a Communication Design (aka Graphic Design) major. I am now a Junior with a 3.5 GPA.
