Hello! My name is Ivis Carver, and I am currently a fifth grade English and Social Studies teacher at an inner city school in Downtown Cincinnati. I am in my third year of teaching, and in those years I have taught third, fourth, fourth and fifth grade. I have also been a Title I reading and math support person. Prior to working at MAIA, I was an independent tutor for reading and math for students in k-5 through Club-Z!. I also spent three years working as a para-educator/tutor in an affluent elementary school working with students in first through fourth grades.

I am currently working towards my Master's Degree as a Teacher Leader as well as certification in Gifted and Talented. I received my Bachelor's Degree in 2011 from Norther Kentucky University in Elementary Education, with emphasis areas in Math and English. I am currently a certified teacher in Ohio (p-5) and Kentucky (K-5).
