Emily's Bio & Tutoring Experience
I have been a private tutor for 4 years. I started tutoring when I was an undergrad in college. I specialize in literacy tutoring, but have also tutored in math and other subjects as well. Every summer, I tutor a young boy in reading in order to maintain his abilities before the next school year starts. The family has been very satisfied with me, and has also asked me to tutor their oldest child as well on occasion. I love working one on one with students because it allows me to really pinpoint their areas of weakness, and give them specialized help in a private setting.

Emily's Education & Certifications
I attended SUNY Brockport for my undergraduate studies. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in history and childhood inclusive education in 2010. I went on to receive my teaching certificate from New York state for childhood education grades 1-6, as well as students with disabilities 1-6, and education birth-grade 2. I am currently in my last phase of my master's degree program at SUNY Brockport, where I will receive a degree in literacy education.
