Everyone learns a "Different way" at a "Different pace".
During grade school (4th-8th Grade) I attended Westside Village a Magnet/Alternative Learning School. I had a difficult time with numbers (no understanding of basic fractions until 9th grade) and slight Dyslexia. After overcoming my own struggles, I had the opportunity to help other students with their learning and physical disabilities.
I carried these skill through High school and into College where I helped my peers work their way through difficult concepts and material. I think having the experience of how it feels to not understand, has helped me approach teaching in a new way.
