Sandy's Bio & Tutoring Experience
I became a teacher to help students realize that what is taught in class is used in everyday life. Working with students who have IEP's is also something I enjoy very much. I am a big advocate for teaching concepts in many different ways. Many students get discouraged because concepts are not taught in their learning style, so they believe they just will not understand the concept, when that isn't the case. Once students need make connections to concepts that interests them, the new concept becomes much easier to understand.

Being a military wife I have had the joy of teaching in four different states for the last 10 years. I am certified in elementary education, middle school science and psychology. I have mainly taught middle school science during my career. I also have a certification in psychology, but have yet to teach psychology.
