I used to be a tutor for the Read For Life program in Pullman, Washington. While involved in the program, I worked with several elementary-aged boys on their reading comprehension skills and vocabulary. We worked together to make sessions fun! We invented our own games to learn and practice new vocabulary words, instead of just reading lists or doing flash cards.
