Nygil's Bio & Tutoring Experience
Many of my tutoring center around music because it is such a central part of my life, and the wonderful thing about this is that it has given me the ability to casually interlock subjects together in a way that creates a learning environment based upon a dialogue of common understanding. Music theory draws upon cultural and mathematical ideas, but it is often practiced and sought after in a more casual way than other bodies of knowledge, and I find that a low-stress, fractal approach is most conducive towards the educational goal of understanding a topic and its practical applications (music also frequently applies hands-on work, which I find always cements learning experiences better). In this way, too, both the requirements of standardized learning and the curiosity of the student are satisfied.
