I am a licensed special education teacher with several years experience in both classroom and tutoring settings. I used individualized instruction methods matched to the student's strengths and interests. I have utilized outdoor and experiential education to reinforce concepts and allow the student to have more of a hands-on experience in the concepts they are learning. Kristi's Education & Certifications
I have a Master's degree in Special Education K-12 for learning and emotional/behavioral disabilities, as well as post-graduate coursework in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have taught full time at 5th, 7th and high school levels, and have subbed for 10 years at all levels. My Bachelor's degree is in Outdoor Education/Psychology and I am currently working on a doctorate in youth ministry.
