While attending the University of Vermont, I worked as a subject-area tutor for three years, assisting students and answering questions in one-hour study sessions in the subjects of mathematics, general/organic chemistry, and anatomy/physiology. I found the position rewarding and truly enjoyed being able to explain something in a way that made sense to the student. I have also worked as a nanny for the past five years on and off, caring for kids ages 1-14 of various personalities, backgrounds, and interests. I was often responsible for helping with homework and school projects during the school year. Working with so many different kids, I have learned to be a fast learner, and responsible, dependable, and articulate.
