Emily's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have one year of volunteer teaching and tutoring experience. I taught a literature course to students between the ages of 12 and 15, and tutored a 13-year-old boy in creative and persuasive writing. I am excellent at helping students write essays and find reputable sources for research. I am a current graduate student in the field of Library and Information Science. I am an intern at Mount Holyoke College, where I assist students with research questions in the library.

I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013, with a Bachelor's degree in English. I also heavily studied philosophy and psychology. I graduated with a 3.78 overall GPA and a 4.0 within my major. I feel comfortable tutoring all ages in the subject of creative and persuasive writing and literary analysis. I would also be happy to tutor students in history, philosophy or psychology. I am a current graduate student at Simmons College where I study Library and Information Science.
