I am middle school English Language Arts teacher for a Cumberland County Middle School. I received my BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated with honors. I earned my graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have served in various leadership positions in which working with children was a fundamental feature. I have been a PTA president, a volunteer to help children cope with deployed parents, a peer adviser for an anti-bullying campaign, a Battle of the Books coach, a volunteer after school tutor for all schools I have taught at, and tutoring children on my daughters' cheerleading teams.
